Salt blocks are placed at certain distances. There is no need to use salt blocks in herds using mixed feed.
The vegetative structure of pasture areas should also be checked for salinization needs. Salt blocks should not be used if there are plants containing selenium in the pasture area.
Salt Need in Lactating Cows:
Cows fed for milk need 2 grams of salt for every 1 kilo of milk they produce.
In addition, on average, a dairy cow weighing 500 kg requires 25 kilograms of salt.
